We are so excited to be hosting our FREE family fun day at Winchester Rugby Club for another year on Sunday 26 May! Head over between 10am-4pm for some family fun in aid of your local Winchester, Basingstoke and Andover hospitals!

Come along on the day to enjoy:

  • FREE family fun - no tickets required, just turn up!

  • Live music

  • Giant slide

  • BBQ

  • Bouncy castle

  • SEN (Special Educational Needs) area

  • Parkour, freerunning and tricking taster sessions with PFT Academy

  • Drinks bar

  • Craft fair - apply to be a stall holder below!

All funds raised from the day will support the children and young people seen in our hospitals across our child health unit as part of The Magic Lion Appeal, where we’re hoping to raise £400,000 to make improvements to our spaces.

Be a stall holder at our craft fair on the day!

As part of the fun, we’ll be hosting our very own craft fair to support as many local crafters as we can. So whether you’re a potter, jewellery maker or illustrator, we’d love to welcome you to our Lion’s Picnic to sell your handmade goods.

Stallholders will be able to set up from 9am and will be able to sell from 10am-4pm on the day. Stalls will be outside and include an outdoor space of 3x3m – you can book more than one space if needed. You will need to provide your own table, chair and gazebo. This is all provided to you for a £20 fee plus a prize which we ask you to donate to our raffle to help us raise extra funds on the day.

You will hear from a member of our team after completing the below application form to confirm your booking, take payment and valid public liability insurance.

We look forward to seeing you on the day! Get in touch if you have any questions or would like to host an activity on the day by emailing hh.charity@hhft.nhs.uk.

Do something unforgettable this Christmas and join us in abseiling down our main building at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital…dressed as Santa!

That’s right, this Christmas, we’re taking you to abseil nearly 75ft down our main hospital building in Basingstoke! You could be one of over 50 Santas descending as we ‘Abseil into Christmas’ on 18th November to raise funds for our incredible local NHS.

  • All health and safety measures in place

  • Fully qualified instructors leading the challenge

  • An unforgettable experience

  • Just £30 to register

On the day, the event will be lead by Big Bang Promotions, a leading company in events, activities and sports, with experts in adventure activities.

Register today!

To take part, sign up for just £30 including your Santa outfit! Each participant will pledge to raise £150 for Hampshire Hospitals Charity to help us make a real difference to patients, staff and volunteers at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Instructions and help for how to set up your Justgiving page can be found here.

If you would like to take part but do not wish to fundraise, you can make the full payment of £180 when you register. We ask for this amount to enable us to cover the cost of abseiling whilst still raising funds that can support our patients, staff and volunteers here at HHFT.

All participants must be over 18 years of age. You cannot participate if you are pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

Please read the Abseil Health Warning Notice provided by Big Bang Promotions and FAQs below before signing up to the abseil. Please note: the Abseil Health Warning Notice states participants must be over 11, however, as a charity, we are only able to take adults over the age of 18 on this abseil.

**This abseil is now taking place on Saturday 18 November (not 25) - we apologise for any confusion.

Hampshire Hospitals Charity presents: Charity Ball 2023

We are delighted to, this October, be hosting our very first Charity Ball! The evening will be an opportunity to celebrate Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) and the wonderful colleagues that make up Team HHFT, all whilst raising funds for our flagship campaign, The Magic Lion Appeal.

As our biggest fundraising event of the year, we are excited to reveal that the evening will host welcome drinks, a full three course meal, live music, a raffle, a dance performance from the Basingstoke Academy of Dance as well as an auction for you to get involved with.

By joining us, you’ll be helping to support our fundraising campaign The Magic Lion Appeal, which is raising funds to make improvements to our child health department across Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover and Alton hospitals.

Our goal for this is to raise £400,000 so that we can fund improvements including equipment investment, redecoration of wards as well as a complete reconfiguration of the children's wards at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital. Doing this will enable staff to access patients quicker and easier, improving timeliness, as well as allowing patients greater space to be seen and a more comfortable, suitable environment. These improvements will also make sure that we are fit for the future and can keep up with the increasing demand on our services.

We invite you to join us on the night for an evening to remember. Please do share this with your friends, colleagues and wider community - we’d love to see as many of you there as possible.

Dress code: lounge suits but black tie encouraged.

On the night:

As the evening begins at 6.30pm, you will be welcomed to Audleys Wood Hotel with a glass of fizz and some time to enjoy light canapes whilst you discover the venue hall. At 7.30pm, you’ll be seated at your tables and hear from some of our team about the work that we do, as well as have the opportunity to take part in our charity auction run by Jumblebee.

Following this, you’ll then be served a delicious three course meal, selected yourself from the menu linked below, and be able to watch a live dance performance from the Basingstoke Academy of Dance between two of the courses.

You can then dance the night away to a live band and get involved in our charity activities as we wrap up the auction and bring the night to a close.

The menu is set for all attendees, but once you have purchased your ticket please inform us of any dietary requirements including opting for the vegan main via email before Friday 15 September. Click here to view the menu

Who’s joining us?

The brilliant sleight of hand artist Matt Homer will perform classic card magic and sleight of hand to entertain guests during arrival drinks! Find out more about Matt here.

We are also delighted to share that the incredible Manton Band, pictured below, will be providing our live music on the evening!
