Colourful fun run returns to Harewood Forest

After the success of its inaugural event, a local charity is bringing back its most colourful fundraising event this summer.

Hampshire Hospitals Charity is excited to share that Colour Run, a supporter favourite, is set to return to Harewood Forest on Saturday 2 August, and tickets are now on sale to join the fun.

The event, which takes place through the forest near Andover, sees participants start in a clean, bright white t-shirt before they pass through a number of different coloured paint stations where they’re covered in eco-friendly powder paint. As they cross the finish line, everyone is rewarded with a medal to thank them for their fundraising.

Morgan Hughes, fundraising assistant at Hampshire Hospitals Charity, said; “Last year, almost 300 people came together to complete the course and finished covered head to toe. It was an incredible sight watching everyone have fun and getting covered as they passed through our paint stations.

“After fantastic feedback for our first event, we’re pleased to be bringing it back to help raise important funds to support our hospitals.”

Last year, through those taking part raising sponsorship, the event raised an incredible £10,000 to help enhance local hospitals, making the experience of visiting and working in them and even better one.

Proudly sponsoring the event this year is Back in Shape Health Centre whose team will be taking participants through their paces with a warm-up before they take on the Colour Run challenge. Also supporting are Hildon Natural Mineral Water, who will also be supplying water to everyone as they finish, Tomato Energy and Ben’s Quality Dry Cleaners.

Sharron Bruty, marketing manager at Hildon Natural Mineral Water, said; “We had an absolute blast sponsoring the Colour Run last year – what a brilliant day for an amazing cause! Hampshire Hospitals Charity does incredible work, and we’re so proud to be part of it. There’s already a buzz around the office with even more of our team keen to join the fun next time. Bring on the colour!”

Tickets for the Colour Run are priced at £18 for adults and £10 for children and all ticket prices include a white charity t-shirt to wear while taking part.
